With the proviso in the replies, this is a painfully accurate analogy.
Lots of universities are starting to resemble football clubs that have no academy - some other unnamed institution will do all the professional training, won’t they?

The only difference is, in football managers are sacked for failing, not the team.

Thanks @parentingscotland.bsky.social . I really enjoy chairing the Board of PAS and contributing to improving lives for parents, carers and children in a very different way from my everyday work. I also get to work with a terrific team of staff, trustees and members!

Today, with Unity Consulting Scotland, we’ve launched our new research into School Meal Debt in England.  Our research indicates that 1 in 4 children in England not in receipt of FSM have school meal debt. No child should be burdened with debt or denied a school meal due to financial hardship.
