We’re recalling Joe Hatch. Really hope that is with a view to finding him a better loan, because if TC is allowed to start him as some kind of performative charade of “leaving no stone unturned” I will be livid. All sympathy for owner and board will have evaporated.

I really do wonder if all those calling for patience with a Cleveley were singing from the same hymn sheet when Shilton and Hodges were around? I very much doubt it. This desire to be different and special is going to do long-lasting damage.

So many fans still seem to be bought into the “doing things differently” mantra that they are confusing decisive action/ doing the traditional thing with being rash.

To be clear, it may be that Tom Cleverley sees the problems etc and is just unable to fix them, and isn’t just wondrously oblivious to everything we see. It might be ‘he can’t’, not ‘he won’t’.

I could absolutely excuse us being bang average for what we are, given the upheaval of the last year. Problem is; we are far, far below what we ought to be with this personnel.
Even if you don’t rate all our squad, they’re still better than what TC is getting from them.
