Great question from a student in class: when did the Romans (post Roman period, Byzantine empire, etc.) ditch the toga for pants?

Colleagues in higher ed: what is your faculty/academic senate meeting schedule? When do you meet (day/time), how frequently, and how long are meetings? I presume that there is a committee structure, too. Do these committees meet more or less frequently than the main body?

Archaeology folks: who is working on colored marble these days? I’m going to need assistance with a sizable collection from my site.
