During the 1960s, former LHF president Hiram Eberly created several hand drawn sketches of early Lititz. Seen here is just one of the many he produced, and illustrates a portion of Main Street during the 1870s.

Photo Day! Seen here are students from the Warwick Township High School, who posed together on an autumn day to have their picture taken. Opened in 1910, this institution housed grades one through twelve. This school would eventually cease when it merged with Lititz High School in 1956.

Here’s a photo of Major John R. Bricker and his G.A.R. regiment which held a reunion in Lititz Springs Park in 1902. Bricker is standing in the back row, fifth from the left. The G.A.R., or Grand Army of the Republic, was a fraternal organization made up of veterans who served in the Civil War.

Beginning in the 1940s, Henry Tennis operated a very successful coal business in Lexington, a hamlet which is just north of Lititz.

The Reading and Columbia Railroad’s No. 729 train car is shown here situated along the Millway train station during the 1930s. This stop, located between Ephrata and Rothsville, picked up passengers as well as freight.

In 1905, Frank Bentz (right) would take over the Brunnerville Iron Foundry. Often, he would set up exhibits of his products at both the Lancaster and Reading Fairs with products including Farmer’s Friend” cellar grates, troughs, and window sashes. Bentz is seen here with his wife

Shown here is 22 East Main street in downtown Lititz. When this photograph was taken, it was the home of John Zook's Express printing office. In addition to paper goods of many kinds, he also sold bicycles.

Recognize this house? While there has been some slight structural changes through the years, this building still stands today at 131 East Main Street - just a few doors down from the Lititz Historical Foundation!

In the early 1900s, these employees posed for this photo at the Lititz Brick Yard. The business was once located in the rear of what is now 320 South Broad street in downtown Lititz.
