We hosted wasps in our roof in the summer but never imagined the nest was this size (size 10 croc for scale). Such industrious little creatures.

Before the winter thrushes spot them…or hopefully waxwings 😀. We had waxwings on the guelder rose a few years ago which was breathtaking.

I have never seen barometric pressure this low 🙁 and here in Rutland it’s a quiet, bright morning.

I couldn’t work out why my local crows were yelling so much until I glanced up to see a raven, nonchalantly cruising around, with its smaller cousins in hot pursuit. Ravens regularly seen here in Rutland now.

Well, you live and learn! Who knew that if you freeze spicy foods the heat intensifies? I went through half a box of tissues with last night’s curry 🥵

A first post…where will it go? Anyway, I’m a new BlueSky user who is recently partially #disabled due to spinal issues. To keep me outdoors (my favourite place) I have invested in a fancy Swedish walking aid…meet my new best friend Sven!
