What’s Amendment 130 and why does it matter?
It ensures the new planning system works with nature, not against. It will:
🌳 Protect wildlife - without it, nature & development both lose out.
✅ Provide certainty in planning.

💚 Please stand with nature 👉 action.wildlifetrusts.org/page/180301
Email your MP. Amendment 130 would make sure the new planning systems works for, not against nature.demand they keep amendment 130 in the Bill
It's now or never. This is the last chance to protect nature in the Planning and Infrastructure Bill. Email your MP to keep amendment 130 in the Bill.

Third time lucky! Finally caught up with the stunning pair of Glossy Ibis at Deeping Lakes NR today. Watched the closer one for ages, probing stranded algae for pond snails, preening and generally living its good life...just wonderful!

Huge thanks to everyone who helped clear 244kg of rubbish from the beaches at Chapel Point, Gibraltar Point and Anderby Creek this weekend. 'Finds' included fishing nets, a sock, empty bottles of beer and vodka, two Crocs (not a pair!) and plastic nurdles from the tanker collision in the spring.

Last chance to see the fabulous "Sounding The Wash" exhibition: to hear the underwater thuds, bubbles and gurgles; to wonder at the call of golden plover made visible in porcelain; and to consider the thoughts of a green sea urchin 👇🌊
Friday 19th September - meet the artists at "Sounding The Wash", Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve, Lincolnshire, UK! All welcome!

Call in any time 10am - noon. The exhibition then closes at 1pm.

Huge thanks to all our visitors so far, and the wonderful @lincswildlife.bsky.social!

Cuteness alert!
Conservation grazers, Ruby and Blair, are last year’s calves. They were raised together after Ruby sadly lost her mum, and these past few weeks they've been embracing 'wild' living at Far Ings National Nature Reserve on the south bank of the Humber.

Not a bittern's usual secretive, camouflaged reedbed habitat, but what a picture!
A rare sighting of a juvenile out in the open grassland on the reserve, close to the path at Far Ings NNR on the south bank of the Humber estuary. With huge thanks to regular visitor Audrey Hunt for sharing the photo.

These fabulous photos of a hobby were taken by Brian Cocksedge at Whisby Nature Park. You can see it chomping down on a tasty dragonfly, one of the speciality food items of this bird of prey.
If you're visiting Whisby, keep a look out - these photos were taken at Grebe Lake.
