3 episodes in and struggling with Muschietti thinking that every single ‘scare’ has to involve the loudest music and gangliest monster to be effective. The cemetery scene felt like a Disney version of the Evil Dead, floating around like they’re in Eddie Murphy’s The Haunted Mansion 🙃 #WelcometoDerry
Only 20 minutes into Welcome to Derry and why are the kids practically exact replicas of the Losers Club from the films? Dialogue and acting feels copy and paste. Ever since Stranger Things kids dialogue has been weird! I’ll keep watching but currently feels a little pointless?

The first small but mighty stack of #Criterion’s from the UK sale! Got two Vittorio De Sica films coming separately and then I’ve stopped myself from going overboard!

The Apu Trilogy arrived yesterday and I watched Pather Panchali the same day. So good!

Share an awesome 70s movie! 🎥

I cheated again. A perfect double feature.

After hearing that Peter Watkins passed away last week, I had to rewatch Punishment Park. Still so haunting and timely! RIP

No I don’t know why I watched Anacondas either, but it is what it is. And each time I watch Crimson Peak I like it and appreciate it just a little more!

Oh, happy Halloween btw 🎃👻💀

Goodbye, Dragon Inn (2003)

Sublime Taiwanese art film depicting the final screening at a rundown movie theater in Taipei. The movie being shown is King Hu's 1967 wuxia masterpiece Dragon Inn, hence the title.
