A student just said to me, "improv is frustrating. I feel like I'm a tiny child at a piano just banging at ghosts."

A student last week asked: HOW DO MUSICIANS MEMORIZE ALL THEIR THEORY?
We don’t. The techniques you use consistently are the ones you end up memorizing. I’m looking up rules and double checking concepts I don’t use frequently. It’s ok to refresh your knowledge. #musictheory #composers
