Missed both in 2024 and last month's horror catchup, In A Violent Nature finally gets its due. A worthy spiritual successor to Friday the 13th that focuses on the killer's perspective, backgrounding the backstory in favor of slow walks and brutal kills. Admire the aim, even if it's shorter on fun.

I loved Del Toro's Hellboy and despised the 2019 reboot, so Hellboy: The Crooked Man wasn't a priority. Finally seeing it, wholly mid - nice seeing a straightforward non-origin story and Jack Kesy does well, but it looks flat and cheap, and less kinetic than you want from the co-director of Crank.
