The world might be pulling back on climate truth: but I'm stepping it up.

How? I'm adding new videos, deep dives & behind-the-scenes stories to Talking Climate.

Why? Because climate honesty and hope matter more than ever right now.

We're all being made to have this use-case of the *technology* in our lives, and at the end of the day all we get to do about it is hate it. Because, the arguments against it are blatantly ignored by so many people. Particularly by the people with the power to mitigate the damage "AI" can do.

4/5
I considered writing a long carefully constructed argument laying out the harms and limitations of AI, but instead I wrote about being a hater. Only humans can be haters.
I Am An AI Hater
I am an AI hater. This is considered rude, but I do not care, because I am a hater.

Update: within hours of this post, the Daily Memphian printed Dan Conaway's article. They claimed he quit the newspaper (which he helped to found!) after they asked for "edits." Gimme a break. I spoke to Dan, and he's been cheered by your support. He's considering starting his own newsletter/blog.
Memphis writer Dan Conaway, who helped found the @dailymemphian.bsky.social & comes from a century of local journalism, has just been censored by his own publication.

Here’s the column they wouldn't run.

There's a lawsuit about AI stealing your work. It's the same lawyers taking on Elsevier et al in a separate case.

Academics:
1. Check if your work is in LibGen at www.theatlantic.com/technology/a...

2. If so, let the lawyers know at www.lieffcabraser.com/anthropic-au...
There are tons of graphic novels, academic papers, film and TV scripts, & prose novels/nonfiction on the LibGen list Anthropic used.

As settlement approaches, make it easy for the class action lawyers to contact you! Here’s how

Part 1: is your work in Libgen?

The biggest barrier to access here is that due to lack of state funding, we have top 10 highest tuition per capita of public unis in the country.

We also have a food pantry.
