In case anyone’s not seen it because they’re not on Twitter, Deborah Cohen is pushing back on claims of a bias towards trans people in BBC News because she found they loved her transphobic reporting and couldn’t get enough of it. And Emily Maitlis is co-signing it all

I will happily die on the hill that The Life of a Showgirl is a perfectly good Taylor album and also a nice pop album in general. I don’t get the hysteria when it came out

The government is allegedly reconsidering payments for WASPi women. I wrote this last year on why I don't think they're due compensation – and why it would be hugely unfair to pay it out.

I kind of want Rachel Reeves to do a wealth tax in the budget just so we can all see it isn’t a long term tax policy strategy, but it’s not like the people who believe in it will change their opinions

Reddit has just shown me the thread that inspired this post and another complaining the train blowing up was “pointless” and god I need people to stop overthinking production and just enjoy reality tv competitions (esp Traitors) as high camp nonsense
honestly, being a TV enjoyer who just wants to read some other people’s thoughts is *exhausting*, everything’s always a plot and a conspiracy, nobody ever just wants something to be a thing that just happened naturally

“Here’s 30 times Rachel Reeves said she wouldn’t raise taxes!!!” is such a stupid political thing to do. Yeah she should have said it earlier but like… it’s actually a good thing that politicians change their minds on issues based on the reality we’re in? We should want more of that
