If you think California NIMBYs are insane, you should see Texas NIMBYs.

They don't have nearly as much legal power, but their conspiracy theories are on a level California NIMBYs can only dream of.

6 months ago, my @ij.org colleagues and I won the #FirstAmendment retaliatory-arrest case Gonzalez v. Trevino.

2 months ago, we won the follow-on case Murphy v. Schmitt, which #SCOTUS granted, vacated, and remanded in light of Gonzalez.

And we’re just getting started.

Life is good in Austin! Developer approaches CM on 120' rezoning. CM says "why not 250?"

Developer agrees to a public realm improvements (car-free paseo, money for parks and trails) and bam! More homes, better parks, better trails here we come!
