This needs to be repeated.
This is the price of criminalizing learning Black American history. With no cultural memory of it beyond the Black community, the fascists are free to reenact the atrocities of the past that are not foreign to us as Black people at all, but coming for everybody now.
I mentioned the other day that a lot of Black teachers have been horrified to find out that almost a majority of their students now believe that enslaved Africans were “immigrants” who were “paid”.

No mentions of being a stolen people. And can you blame them when posts like this exist?

Our economy is far larger than it was decades ago.

Where have most of the gains gone? To the top.

Any path forward must include a fight to restructure the economy toward more widely shared prosperity.

This isn’t a blue state vs. red state phenomenon. It’s a class phenomenon.
