The Black Dog and The Grim from Harry Potter. The Grim = Omen of death = Death of Showgirl Taylor, and her relationship to her fans. Harry thinks he sees The Grim in his teacup, but (*spoiler alert) it turns out to be The Black Dog, his godfather (Father Figure).
