Sci-fi, fantasy, hoor, books, video games, anime, and more. If you tell a good story, I'm here for it. Nonfiction interests are heavily into biology and history.
Seconding this. I played this game back when it came out, and I was telling people to buy it then. So at 60% off, you better chain down your echoes.

I didn't know this, and it seems like useful information.
You don't necessarily need to say "image of" in your alt text for users to know it's an image. Screen readers will announce that it's an image. But it can help readers to specify if it's a hand-drawn image, Polaroid, infographic, screenshot, chart, map, diagram, or so on.

I have a few. One of my most used is if I hear someone incorrectly sing a song lyric that they obviously misheard, I'll often sing, "Sack of monkeys in my pocket! My sister's ready to go!"
Does anyone else have an MST3K line they use regularly, even if it makes no sense out of context?

Because I have both "That'll keep your panfish down for a while." and "Come come, boys, we must confound Jerry at every turn!" from MST3K the movie alone.

Interesting science fact: Some scientists have experimented with the effects of drugs on spiders and how it affects their webs. The mind altering drugs seem obvious, but I always found the caffeine results fascinating, too. From Wikipedia:

I saw Superman tonight, and I gotta say James Gunn did a great job. He's clearly a man who loves Superman, and there are several moments in the film that really showcase that. I haven't been to the movie theater in ages, and I'm really glad I picked this film to do it!

I have used eight of these. And through sheer magnanimity, I have only murdered one person who dogeared the page of a book I lent them.

Also, my most common bookmark is a page from one of my restaurant guest check books. (Well, if you don't count e-reader I guess.)

Smackie the Frog for me (specifically his appearance on Dr. Katz)
Everyone has one Mitch Hedberg joke stashed in their brain like a squirrel to sustain them whenever they need to feel joy for 30 seconds and mine is “they say the recipe for Sprite is Lemon and Lime but I tried to make it at home, there’s more to it than that”

You may think you're clever for skeeting "nothing ever happens," but nobody has ever nothing-ever-happens'd harder than Stanislav Petrov.

Today I saw someone on Bluesky reply to someone else "Sir, today you have won the internet" and it really goes to show you how the internet and social media can model the spread of infectious disease.

Every now and then I refer to the view and menu buttons as "select" and "start," and then I get horrifying flashbacks to my mom calling my computer a "Nintendo." I will not go gentle into that good night!

I had like three glasses of wine when I wrote this, but I was pretty happy with it lol
Now I've heard there was a secret rock
That Hutton kept in his private stock
But you don't really care for basalt, do you?
It goes like this, the quartz, the schist
The minor faults, the major rifts
It's a loose and it's a broken alluvium.

My local emergency weather broadcast thingy called my phone and woke me up at 2am to tell me there was a tornado warning. Why do you think I wanna be awake for that!? Just let me die peacefully in my sleep, jeez.

The TMNT theme song says "Splinter taught them to be ninja teens," but if we're being honest with ourselves, he just taught them to be ninja. He didn't teach them to be teens.

I have never really paid attention to SamsungTV before, and yesterday I was flipping through the channels when I noticed one that's 24 hours a day of Saved by the Bell. I really wanna meet the one(1) person that this channel was created for.

People are doing the "fun fact" thing. This isn't "fun" exactly; but I think it's interesting. I was hospitalized with a viral infection that has never been identified. I almost died, but the hospital managed to keep me alive. Samples were tested, but no known infectious agent came back positive.
