idk what it is that driving does to people but i’m convinced the psychic effect of driving is one fundamental cause for the american decline by way of the effect it has had on how people prioritize things and what they value most. this + the car as both symbol and reqmt for freedom = death cult
the fun thing about cycling is that if you Follow The Law™ when you are forced to ride with cars, it will probably get you killed by some inattentive driver, but if you ride in a way that is safe for you, you get branded as reckless by news org hit pieces and threatened by aggressive drivers instead
