How and when exactly did a president acquire the authority to rule in all matters great and small by diktat?
Donald Trump just removed Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth from the list of free entry days at national parks.

They are being replaced with Trump’s birthday.

The Court of Chancery spends a lot of time deciding cases that involve multi-billion-dollar deals. Its equity jurisdiction means it also gets to decide things like who should keep Tucker the Goldendoodle (don't worry, he's not getting cut in half) courts.delaware.gov/Opinions/Dow...

Every few months now I re-read this "Who Goes Nazi?" piece from 1941 and am blown away by how it captures the people we are dealing with 80 years later.

Who on #knitsky is participating in the #WestKnits #MKAL2025? I don't have the skills to create a feed, but I'm making a list of participants to make it easier to find each other!

Finally finished my scrappy, messy quilt. I barely had enough fabric for the binding, so one of the corners is far from perfect.

But I learned a lot and had fun!

I’m using this photo as my color inspiration for the #westknits #mysterymusikal #MKAL. I just ordered my yarn and can’t wait for October 2!

Know what creates empathy? Books. Reading about people unlike ourselves and experiences we'll never have. Which is why some people want to remove those books and discourage reading. Kids and adults should read widely. Most spend their spare time online, which is where indoctrination often begins.

Machine quilting was not working out today, so we (my cat and I, of course) pivoted to hand-tying.

A lawyer on the ground on Sunday morning saw just how close things were, and how the flights were only stopped because a federal judge moved at light speed to halt the Trump admin's illegal operation.

She saw the plane begin to taxi to take off, only to turn around at the last second and come back.
