You cannot have a functioning economy when so few people at the top hold so much of the nation’s wealth. It’s not sustainable.

This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

We must get big money out of politics.

It is the root of our dysfunction.

It's really something that Mark Stoops was able to go from winning multiple bowl games and beating Penn St in a bowl game to being the worst team in the SEC, while being a top 10 paid coach in the country.

It's going to be tough for Kentucky to be good if,
1) they can't figure out a point guard and floor leader
2) they can't figure out how to create shots for each other
3) they don't play defense.

Two things can be true:
Louisville is a pretty good team.
Kentucky isn't playing nearly their best (and still without arguably the best player on their team, Quaintance).

Tonight’s Senate vote on the federal government shutdown should have been a time for strength.

Instead we saw capitulation and a betrayal of working Americans.

The American people need more from their leaders.

Great job, @schumer.senate.gov. You've changed the story from "GOP hurting millions of Americans to please unpopular, failing, delusional despot who's destroying his party" to "Dems are too weak and divided in the face of Trump's strength to take a stand and protect Americans"

On Tuesday, Americans sent Democrats a resounding message.

“Fight for us”

“Fight for working class Americans”

“Fight against Trump’s corruption, criminality and cruelty”

5 days later, Democrat Senators sent Americans a resounding message.

“Nah”

This should be cut and dry.

It's pathetic that any Republican can't just say it.

This is the asymmetry in our politics and media. If this was the other way around, Biden had pardoned someone then charged with trying to kill Trump, it would be the biggest story in America and every Republican commentator, congressman, news outlet, would be screaming about it in unison.
