Lots of folks captioning aurora photos like "for a few minutes we didn't think about politics"

guess I'm built different, every time I'm out trying to see night sky stuff I frequently think about how much light pollution is entirely preventable with just a tiny bit of regulation

“The content is all too often bad commodity content. It's boring aggregation with no voice and no wit and no new angle.“
So much of mainstream Dem influencer content reads with the same cringe-inducement as B2C brands using memes.

Very telling that Chorus boss BTC and creators named in Taylor's article are attacking the messenger and not the message: and mark, how none of them have targeted WIRED, which stands by everything in the article, which was written in accordance with the high journalistic standards they're known for.
Here is the statement from Omidiyar on the network's Reporters in Residence program debunking false claims that my journalism fellowship is funded by Sixteen Thirty.

Neither I nor they have ever received funding from the Sixteen Thirty Fund. I have never received a dollar from any dark money group

my roomie's car is in the shop and he's got a Ram 2500 loaner, so I've been driving it out of curiosity. first impressions:

1. i have stopped using turn signals

2. my eyes no longer register whatever a "crosswalk" is

3. sober so far but i really think four to eight drinks would help me drive

Los Angeles: if you get tear gas or see other people who have been and someone calling themselves a medic tries to use milk to wash their eyes out SLAP THAT MILK JUG OUT THEIR FUCKING HAND. MILK DOES NOT WASH OUT TEAR GAS.

Just use bottled water please.
Timely reminder that the treatment for chemical weapons like tear gas and pepper spray is:

1) remove from active contamination (get them out of the cloud of teargas, remove outer layers of clothing if possible)
2) flush eyes with ONLY clean water. Wash skin and hair with water and soap.

Many things about Oklahoma frustrate me, but Black Mesa State Park and its lack of light pollution and human noise almost makes up for them.
