Sri Lanka's Wishque went from "the breach was only a test database" to "actually, some customer data got out too" in a day. Still, a better response than most suppose. But it probably wasn't the best idea to wait a month to disclose.

Uber has officially expanded its Women Rider Preference feature to Sri Lanka. This means women drivers can opt in to accept ride requests only from women on the platform. Kind of an overdue feature given this has been around since at least 2019. But better late than never.

So the #CargillsBreach is the biggest data breach in Sri Lanka, amounting to a whopping 1.9 terabytes of leaked data. But the more damming thing is how the bank was forewarned of a situation like this just last year.
