This whole pie debate is just a distraction to keep us fighting each other instead of fighting the real enemy: bland ass turkey.

The air smells smoky in South Seattle but all the AQI reports say it's fine... Did air quality reporting get cut by this admin, or am I smelling phantom wildfires?

We take the elastic hair tie for granted. Hair down, hair up in 5 seconds. Imagine living in pre-hair-elastic times - how did anyone get anything DONE??

I'm still annoyed about that stupid Duolingo CEO saying that AI is a better teacher than humans.

Factually, it is not.

Such a bizarre and preposterous claim, likely motivated by corporate greed and/or techno-imperialist ideals.

Time to boycott Duolingo until Luis von Ahn publicly rescinds this preposterous take.

Once again thinking of how good Dead Outlaw is, for how it exposes this theme of commodified remains and honors the human life that was here. #DeadOutlawMusical
I've been working on the histories of human remains and disability and colonialism for a few years now, and what really interests me is how inevitable it is for people to make obscene arguments to appease their own discomfort re/continue using/consuming unethically procured or stolen human remains

I went and saw a slew of Broadway shows last week. At each show, I wore a mask (Kn95 or N95). And at each show where I chatted with the stranger sitting next to me, they invariably said I was "smart" for wearing a mask. (One guy even said "I wish I could wear one" 🤷🏻‍♀️)

I'm not gonna listen to a guy who eats roadkill talk about "good nutrition".
RFK Jr. said in his Fox News OpEd that “Good nutrition remains a best defense against most chronic and infectious illnesses”.

The best diet in the world will not prevent infection if you are unvaccinated and sharing air with someone who has measles.

Joann's being shuttered due to private equity greed makes me so sad and angry.

Would it help to boycott Joann's during their closing sales? Would that hurt the equity firm if we refused to participate in their sell-off scheme?
