We published an MCP Server for Linear. Relatively simple integration, but if you're using agent tools, and Linear obviously, it can save a ton of time. touchlab.co/linear-mcp-f...

Pro tip for Android dev with AI agents. Don't let them edit Gradle. They'll rip out the wiring before checking the circuit breaker when trying to fix something. Hopefully the Android Studio agent has some better tooling than stock agents. www.youtube.com/live/0vMDXa2... (updates look really nice)

Love AI agents, hate AI agents. They can be fun. (It did seem to think about that longer than I imagine it would have with "Yes", but we'll never know...)

Sometimes I'm amazed dogs have survived. Just found out onions are toxic to dogs. Onions, garlic, chocolate, almonds, various other nuts, on and on. Ours seems to be sensitive to chicken. Any time I'm about to break down and give him some of my food, quick check, and nope. Something's toxic.

I rarely post political takes. But Trump is full of surprises. I can't imagine anybody cared about the fate of George Santos. Beyond George, of course. Left or right, his shit conduct as a person was universally recognized. But why? Analysis? Yolo + wildcard? www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecRy...

This sounds like a simple question, but you'd be surprised. Does anybody have a good recommendation of over-ear bluetooth headphones that have absolutely no noise-cancelling tech? Or at least, you can definitely turn it off?

I know people are dunking on glass ui and iOS 26, but man. The home screen on its own. Contrast used to "just work"

'Ardayfio called the glasses “the first real step towards vibe thinking.”' Sometime I feel like I should be out in startup land a bit more, then I read something that makes me think "nah, home or the local dive bar are fine".

JPMorgan predicted a foldable iPhone coming. I tried to have AI create a list of a similar predictions for each year since the rumors started. That was more frustrating than I wanted to deal with. But, summary, that prediction has been coming like clockwork since 2016. But this time I'm sure!

Ozzy is a huge part of music life. As a teenage guitarist up to now (I have a black SG and play in a band). The weirdest part of this post is that I heard the news in a debugging window.

Gemini and Claude are down. Actually trying out gpt. Crazy outage day.

Wow. I don't know the Roo Code community well (at all, really), but they're pushing hard. Just installed the latest. New features focused on context compression, but with visibility and settings. Tasks. A whole bunch of stuff. The open source AI agent world is intense.

We’ve learned a lot about scaling for mobile. @namnum.bsky.social will talk about why “second-platform thinking” (web → mobile, iOS → Android) should start early - even before your AI-coded MVP ships.

Don't need a car. Just got rid of our Covid-era Nissan Rouge. Loved it, but in Manhattan, it was just a money pit (parking, basically). Still. I can't tell you how much I want a DIY electric. Slate is marketed as no frills, but the money/time I'd spend tweaking this... www.slate.auto/en/slatemake...

The new agent in Android Studio is enabled in yesterday's canary build!

This build doesn't have all the tools hooked up that I showed in the I/O demo last week (agent here: youtu.be/KXKP2tDPW4Y?...), such as the Gradle awareness -- and it also doesn't have the Upgrade Agent yet. Hopefully soon!

If you're using Linear and periodically need to write issues that would use some context from your codebase, we have an MCP for you: touchlab.co/linear-mcp-f.... For conversational AI tools with project context, it can save a lot of painfully manual work.

I used Perplexity deep research to build an "about me" kind of page for a personal site refresh. Whoever this guy is, he sounds pretty amazing. Starting with my military service, then, "A medical discharge following traumatic injury redirected his path toward software engineering." Compelling!

Fired up Claude 4 Opus. Did some planning (good). Then I was like, "OK, let's set up that module" and it started generating what looked like valid Gradle config. Too bad this is a Typescript project :) My fault. I didn't really prime the context well, but reminder that agents aren't magic...

The amount of news this week(s?) is just wild. Sonnet 4: www.anthropic.com/news/claude-4, Gemini Agent in Android Studio (and Jules, but I'm less interested in that). Copilot open source. Kotlin LSP and VSCode support(?) Claude Code SDK. There's more, but I have to get to the airport...

I did not see that coming. Huge.

Ah! Not just Jules! Conversational agent in android studio! AI coding hasn't impacted mobile much yet, relative to other parts of tech, but that's going to change fast (no source link, talk at I/o)
Curious if this also includes the Copilot agent tool. Not sure why it wouldn't. That's pretty exciting. Google is (probably) releasing a dev agent: www.reuters.com/business/goo.... MCP in AOSP tools: android.googlesource.com/platform/too....
