Out and about in the suit. Got real sweaty in it today, but I guess that's to be expected. Also.... I finally finished some hand paws

Introducing Kobuk the Husky! A shiny nylon fursuit with a curly tail, boopable nose, floppable ears and squishy all around.

The ears and flop over and stand back up!

And the completed head! Took me about 6 weeks to do, spending almost every waking moment outside of my real job to get this done.

To get the head covering, I did the thing where you cover it with duct tape to get the shape and use that as the basis for the pattern. I needed lots of seams to get the curved shapes, so this is the design I came up with. Here is the head while test fitting the pieces.

The ears and "hair" aren't on foam bases. The ears are layers of quilt batting between nylon, with polyfill around the edges. This is so the ears can be bent down and they pop back up. The hair is just a mohawk design stuffed with polyfill.

The head has been the most difficult part for me to make. I used a nice looking pattern for the foam base, but it had a pretty complicated shape, which made covering it with nylon difficult. I used the pattern from Chilli Cosplay on Etsy. Here is the foam base for the head under construction.

Completed foot paws! The stuffed paw pads are really nice, but very difficult to do. And I probably can't wear these outside, but I'm very happy with how they came out!

Feet paws before I sewed them together. I used a different technique for these, which was to use quilt batting between two layers of nylon to keep that squishy look. At least I could use a premade pattern, which I got from matrices.net. This also has a nice lining for my feet!

Here is the bodysuit coming together. The pattern had to be scaled up by about 30% in order for it to be the correct size after it was stuffed. This was kind of a pain to make, but I'm pretty happy with the result so far.

A puffy nylon fursuit in the works! This is being made out of shiny nylon, with chambers sewed in and stuffed with polyfill to give it a squishy, poofy look.

Back in last December, I decided to make my own fursuit. It's taken me quite a while, but I'm almost done and can't wait to show it off here. Here are some of the first pics of me starting to trace out the patterns
