It’s sort of like the Margaret Atwood adage that men are afraid women will laugh at them but women are afraid men will murder them. To the right, the left expressing dissent IS equivalent to actual political violence perpetrated by the right. In fact rt violence is a JUSTIFIED response to dissent.
I agree with this critique although I will add that my critique (additionally) is that these stories do not discuss STATE VIOLENCE, like, you know, the goons kidnapping folks on the street and leaving children in the car.
Yet another long feature article about political violence that refuses to acknowledge the basic reality that right-wing violence is far more common than left-wing violence.

I’m pretty sure the final, settled upon MAGA-Land response to Trump being the pedophile we all kinda knew he was is going to be some kind of combo of “those girls were asking for it” and “14 is actually old enough” because have you been paying attention to women’s rights in this country?
The thing about the Epstein disgustingness that strikes me hardest is that hundreds of rich old men raped underage girls and the only person currently in jail for that vile behavior is a woman.

I live in MAGA Huntington Beach and they don’t want to build new housing. Our 7-0 MAGA city council is actively fighting CA housing mandates.

What would really unlock the Epstein scandal is finding out why Acosta cut that insane plea deal.
