Just finished my first weekly review in over a month... I suppose "weekly" isn't really accurate at this point, but I'm happy to get back on the bandwagon. I have to block off time or else it just doesn't happen. It turns out I'm not behind on as many projects as I thought.. that was a relief.

I was going to post about this myself, but this is pretty much what I was going to say!
Survival isn’t about holding on—it’s about understanding your brain. 🧠

@arthurdoler.com's inspiring keynote at #dev2next, Survival Under Fire, showed how to stay whole during adversity and prepare for the next challenge.

I'm speaking at www.dev2next.com next week about TODOs. I'd still love to get some other perspectives. Do you add them frequently? Do you remove them? Do you process them? What’s the oldest one you’ve seen? What have you seen LLMs do with TODOs in existing code?

Wow, I'm super impressed with the performance of DeepSeek-R1-Distill-Qwen-14B-Q4_0 (reasoning model) running locally on an M1Max MacBook Pro. Using it with #GPT4All.

Another #gtd weekly review in the can. One thing I do during the weekly review is look at interesting things I wrote down that people mentioned. This week's winner was tailscale.com, which looks like an excellent alternative to VPNs for individuals and small companies. I also installed cline.bot.

Another #gtd weekly review in the can. This time I just did it at home on the deck, taking advantage of the nice weather. Lately I’ve really been enjoying walking during part of it, especially while review projects in #nozbe.
