Anyone know what level of hell you get for an uncontrollable giggling fit during a Christingle service? Mitigation: a child is playing We Three Kings VERY BADLY on the trumpet. Aggravating factors: your in-laws have been going to this church for 40 years. Nobody believed your fake sneezing fit.

Y'all, discoverability is harder than ever. With Twitter all but gone and publishing being --in a mood-- your favorite authors are floundering. We don't know how to reach our fans or find new readers. Telling someone about a book you love is a really big deal. That's the #1 reason people buy books!

My husband is an artist who makes orreries (clockwork planetary models) out of metal and glass. When I was struggling to finish my novel, he made me a deal: if I finished the book, he'd make me an orrery based on the world of my novel.
It's freaking BEAUTIFUL.
