So I told J that the nyquil pills were keeping me awake and he informed me that the colors seem to be reversed in the box we got (it’s a grocery store generic) which explains a LOT. But also 😵💫
I know I’m fighting a cold bc dayquil made me sleepy. I’ve had a nice epsom salt bath and will be taking that much needed nap.

It is sleeting this morning (which appalled the dogs) and there is a Carolina wren taking refuge on our porch singing its heart out which should be sweet but dear lord, bird, give it a rest until first light at least. No one is awake enough for your nonsense.

Was woken up by the swarms of helicopters and my nose running uncontrollably as this is very close by. Glad it seems no one was hurt and the fire dept has it under control.

Per the amount of traffic I can hear this morning everyone must have decided to drive home Monday instead of yesterday to “beat the rush” and boy did that not work out for you guys. Good luck to anyone on the roads today.

I like the cooking part of the holidays but not the cleaning up of the dishes (which is absolutely essential to do as you go bc there’s too much to do not to).

They came out perfectly! Serving them with some dipping jelly warmed up to make it more spreadable.

Came across a recipe to make sausage balls with stuffing instead of bisquik and it is ON. It was much easier to form into balls. In the oven now but I think these are gonna be great.

It is rainy and ridiculously warm this morning for my day off. I suppose I should be making some dishes in preparation for tomorrow but lounging in bed all day sounds pretty nice too.

When I opted for sewing as an elective in 7th grade I thought I might make clothes or learn how to upholster but instead I perform dog toy surgeries about once every two weeks bc my dogs don’t know how to share.
