The UK government's ban on Palestine Action is a "disturbing" misuse of counter-terrorism legislation, the United Nations' human rights chief has warned.

It is very hard to see how the UK government can sign this statement, which makes it absolutely clear that it recognises that Israel is committing - as a matter of state policy - deliberate and systematic war crimes, without at a minimum cutting all military cooperation with Israel.

Strike day 4: A big day, in which a lot happened, but this was the absolute highlight. If there is a conscience of the Guardian, it may be Gary Younge. He made this speech, off the bat & nailed it. We are the true spirit of the Guardian & Obs. And we are here fighting to save our news org.
