This was very high on my anticipated list for the year. Really hoping the TC market is part of "select US theaters"

I find Minneapolitans' cold weather resiliency generally overhyped but I saw some kids with blank skate decks (no trucks/wheels) doing rail slides into the snow at Smith Triangle Park last night, and that's pretty cool.

Working out of order on this one. I’ve already seen Park Chan Wook’s loose adaptation, gonna read the original, and eventually track down the Costa-Gavras version

Very little info seems to exist on Godfather's Fury (1978), but that's one heck of a poster image

Desert Island actor filmography? Hideo Murota is regularly one of my most watched actors, but I might go with Willem Dafoe. Deep catalog, lots of variety. Plenty of faves, too.
Mmmm

Christopher Lee is the first and most obvious choice to pop into my mind.

I watched some higher profile stuff earlier in the week (Marty Supreme, No Other Choice), but yesterday I feasted on new crime(ish) films. Gotta fit in what I can.

Tangentially related, I attended a corporate function this year in which two different executives opened their presentation with the same AI generated joke.

Did a writeup on Way of the Gun for Perisphere. It's playing at @trylon.org as part of a McQuarrie double feature next weekend. I don't think any of us could have predicted him becoming Tom Cruise's go-to guy back then, but here we are! www.perisphere.org/2025/11/21/d...

Art Carney has a great supporting role in this and I think this might be one of his first 70s movies to make the jump to Blu Ray. So many terrific movies still stuck in (sometimes OOP) DVD purgatory.
***ANNOUNCEMENT***

Coming soon on Blu-ray in the US from @kinolorber.com: #HouseCalls (1978)!
