A few years ago, I worked on a tech prototype for a traditional 2D gridder game (think Dungeon Master). No 3D involved, pure old-school approach. I'm quite sad that the market for this type of game is so small, I would still love to work on one, one day (demo link: deepnight.net/games/dungeo...)

A colourful and lively and agressive line art drawing of grimlock up front leading the rest of his Dinobots into action. They are all seen from puny human perspective. Grimlock is BLASTING his double barrelled laser and the beams fly by you. His other hand points decidedly towards a unseen target outside the screen. It’s GRIMLOCK baby! A white gundam, the GP01 Zephyrantes, floats in space. It holds up its shield as bullets blast at it furiously. The shield block most of the bullets while other fly past it. Zephyrantes readies its laser sword and prepares to charge its assailant. This is mech war in space. Optimus is punching megatron in the face so hard he flies off into the viewer's sights. Behind Optimus is a ledge and a deep down city rooftop scape. A pale blue metal giant mecha rests in a hangar. It’s cockpit head opened up. Mechanics stop their maintenance work to wave at the camera.

So I just realized I can just search for patents on old toys like Transformers. And of course everything has to be described and illustrated, including the complete transformation process :D
And they're like, all expired. Great stuff, I love the illustrations!
