#burnoutrepair I worked in CMH for 10 years and quit to start working in a group practice. I worked in crisis care and saw first hand how broken the CMH system is. These posts are about refinding me as opposed to speaking illy of my former employer. They did the best they could in a broken system.
“I’m codependent with my independence.” Oof thanks Kelsea Ballerini for the topic of my new therapy session.

Give this mood reader a “14 Day hold” from the library and I’ll put it off to the very last moment 🫣 Sunday plans with some added puppy snuggles. #booksky #libraryproblems #cozysunday

Day 35: #burnoutrepair onto my next book. This trilogy has been on my TBR for awhile and with recent events in the US it seems like a good time to dive into it. #booksky #thepoppywar #rfkuang

Day 29: #burnoutrepair pausing the fantasy read to start this beauty I just got from my library. No shade to the other book. Fantasy is just not something my brain naturally is drawn to. Guess I’m going to book club for the vibes tomorrow instead 🤗 #booksky

Day 28: #burnoutrepair I finally am starting to get a “normal” sleep schedule back. My body has been fully in repair mode the past several months oversleeping.

I can’t march in the 50 States/50 protests, being here for my clients is the most important thing I can do right now as a therapist. Wearing blue in solidarity 💙🆘

#blackhistorymonth seems to be the perfect time to start this big guy. Been on my TBR for a moment. Another good one for anyone that is looking is How the Word is Passed, Clint Smith. These type of books take me several months so I can read in chunks to process the information better. #booksky

Day 21: #burnoutrepair working virtually in the early afternoon means eating lunch not out of a paperbag in under 5 minutes from the closest fast food restaurant 🤪

#burnoutrepair Day 14: not allowing myself to look at any news today. The human brain was never meant to digest as much as we put it through. Instead I’m diving into a new book. And so far I’m sucked into the writing! Follow me on @thestorygraph.com @kimberpoi.

#burnoutrepair days 12-14
New job - “Kim comes to us with great experience what do you think?” Internal dialogue: oh shit they care what I think?

New job - “You’re office is so cute.” Internal dialogue: didn’t process what was being said because I was waiting for the critique.

This debate was already happening around Meta and now TikTok: If progressives/scientists/etc. flee these platforms, does that make the information ecosystem way worse? I think people are seeing Twitter as a cautionary tale.

Though also for an algorithmic feed it might not even matter.
