How is BlueSky feeling compared to how Twitter used to be for scientific discourse?
For me, I feel like the crowd has moved to here and LinkedIn. To my surprise LinkedIn has become a lot better since Science Twitter's downfall...

Well deserved!
I think this is worth a read, but it also highlights how hard it is to get the grant just right.
Why can't it just be a series of dot points? So much time and money is wasted/spent in getting the prose and phrasing right.

Read this.
The best first sentence of a grant application I've read was (paraphrasing), "Tool X is widely used to do task Y; we will make it accessible to people living with condition Z (13% of the population) so that it is more equitable and more widely used". Let's unpack why, because there's a lesson. 🧵

Interesting article, for me the controversy is just that dynamic FC is noisier than FC (which has its own problems) and possibly more susceptible to preprocessing.
We had a look at this in our study www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti... 1/2
