Cleaning and testing Famicom cartridges is a nice relaxing change when the day has been long and somewhat annoying.

Apprently yesterday whilst I was ill in bed I ordered another dozen Famicom(s/es) from Japan.

That’s it, no more machines this year.

Unless they are ones I really, really want. Or are cheap. Or interesting.

Cleaning out the garage I found a box of old PC games including the first PC I game I ever bought, the budget re-release of Golden Axe.

Trying to work out some complicated programming things whilst listening to @sagefrancis.bsky.social makes for a very relaxing lunchtime.

WonderSwan Color Tetris is amazing. It could be better than the Gameboy version even.

One of my children was awake all night very upset. So in turn I was up most of the night too. I feel today will require at least 2 breakfasts before work.

I do seriously think that the reason I enjoy computers and programming so much is that we had a Mr Do! arcade machine in the kitchen when I was about 3 or 4. This was followed by a BBC Model B when I was 5 which had the excellent Mr Ee! And of course BBC Basic, and magazines with type in programs

Johnny makes videos on a lot of interesting machines you don’t see in many (or any) other videos. Definitely worth a watch along with his many other videos imo.
It seems there's a new thing on YouTube where you can hype any video withing 7 days of it's release, so if you wouldn't mind giving it a try on my last video it might help me out and please share, cheers #RetroComputing

Joe did great work on those screens. They look factory fitted.

I also had to edit some graphics for one of the games and ended up using Deluxe Paint loaded from floppy disk on an Amiga 500 with a 30 year old mouse. It was quicker and easier than using any of more modern tools, and more fun too.

My 3 year old now loves playing Bubsy so all the blood, sweat and tears were worth it just to hear the wise words he shouts whilst playing it.
Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection is finally out. A lotta blood, sweat, & tears from myself & the Carbon team (mostly tears). Despite the "quality" of the games, it was important to me that the collection was handled with love, cuz nobody else was gonna do it. Have fun, Bubheads.
Humanity has amassed too much power. Bubsy 3D was never meant to be played like this

Thanks to @pc98audi.bsky.social I spent my lunchtime with the theme song to Postman Pat stuck in my head.

I think I can make a pico psu work for this fairly safely. I watched the excellent @markfixesstuff.com video on putting a mean well in the Einstein psu case but it looks like there is too much scope for me to make a fatal mistake to try it
I’m no PSU expert but at least two of these components look like they may have ceased to be. Probably wise for me to find something newer to replace this

A nice bit of paperwork processing on a Sunday whilst some of the children shout very loudly about Minecraft and ballbags

I was inspired by @breakintoprogram.co.uk and his Tatung Einstein cross compiler demo at RetroFest a few months ago and bought one from eBay. Now I must figure out how to clean it up and fix all the probably broken bits before I even do the interfacing side. The kitchen hob makes a good workbench.

Introducing the first AI prototype of a British MP🇬🇧🤖

When constituent and local business owner, Jeremy Smith, approached me with this idea, I was very excited to work with him. The AI revolution is happening and we must embrace it to see how it can be useful, in all sectors.

It’s annoying when it takes longer to build something than it does to test a bug fix. PCs are rubbish.
