Two governments took The News Agents to secret court for two years via a constitutionally unprecedented superinjunction to stop you from hearing this story.

The MoD is responsible for a data leak that put up to 100,000 Afghans at risk of death.

Social media has enabled everyone to be limitlessly creative. Little clips of fun, pranks, comedy; or short films crammed with information & advice. As ever, it's up to us as daily scollers, viewers, consumers to make a wise choice. When we do, it's a treasure.

I agree.
At our demonstration today, I'm holding a placard stating
"I support
Palestine.
Action
must be taken."
My aim is to highlight the absurdity of the government dictating what can and cannot be said by peace-seeking people

In this article I list ten things western govts could do if they truly cared. Inaction is a choice, and currently a massive moral failure. Here’s the list in summary - all drawn from previous examples of humanitarian intervention: 🧵

A great thread.

I'm still grieving.
I understand. We understand.

We understand the importance that Europe had in your lives and the sense of biting loss for many of you.

We understand what Brexit has done.

Quick call-out to local journalists:

I’m working on a piece about the state of local journalism in the UK, and I’d love to speak to a few people with lived experience over the next couple of days.

Just have a few questions - nothing formal, just a chat.

I've just read that Sting thinks Brexit was an act of folly. I think that's it. Job done. We are on our way back into the EU now.

Yup - the Orange Emperor is stark bollock naked, and his supporters just don’t care.

The emperor is naked. We all see it. And yet the crowd roars.

Trump’s parade wasn’t just farce - it was a symbol of post-truth politics.

My new piece on fairy tales, shame-free populism, and the fight ahead.
The Emperor Is Naked and They Love Him More for It.
The fairytale’s broken. Shame doesn’t work. And reality isn’t the point anymore.

Astonishing evidence at the Covid Inquiry.

The Government repeatedly ignored offers from the Crick Institute to provide mass testing on a national scale.

Instead, the Government paid Deloitte consultants to project manage, not yet established, privately run labs.

Would anyone in NW3, or thereabouts, like a free sofa? I love this sofa a great deal but it's just too large for our flat so we're getting a smaller one. I cannot emotionally accept the idea of it going to landfill.

A German book store chain has a separate table for books banned in the US & the 'reason(s)' given why. We remember how from 1933, Nazis banned & burned book bcs they were incompatible with Nazi ideology, or the authors were Jewish. We thought we had all learned that lesson.
