The hope is that Syria does not become the next Iraq and Libya. Granted it is a great sight when people are “free” but at what cost?

Min of Health found that 1.3% of The Gambia’s population is living with HIV. When Jammeh announced that he cured AIDS, he didn’t just make a reckless claim, he dismantled the infrastructure for AIDS treatment in The Gambia.

Barrow talks about development as if its a favour, like he’s paying for everything out of his pocket. It’s as if we should be grateful for things that are our right as citizens. This entitlement he shows whenever he talks about development really makes you wonder if he understands that it’s his job.

Ousainou Bojang’s account remains remarkably consistent, a quality that liars often lack. Given his scatterbrained nature, it’s hard to imagine him constructing an elaborate false narrative. I am convinced he did not commit the heinous crime he’s accused of. We got the wrong guy.

I received 65 ultramodern hospital beds from the Gambia Swiss Congress. These beds, equipped with advanced features, are a much-needed addition to our healthcare system. I am extremely grateful to everyone who contributed to making this great achievement possible.

Govt. maintaining the price of groundnut at D38 per kilo is an insult to farmers. Maybe it’s time to diversify agriculture and not depend on a cash crop. Groundnut has only made our economy vulnerable through high dependence, as the global price has fallen.

These elections in Senegal are a big win for the masses, showing how politically sharp and mature they’ve become. Even with a manipulated narrative, Senegalese voters saw through it and made an informed choice.

It appears that PASTEF has achieved a clean sweep tonight. Ousman Sonko has redefined politics in our sub-region.

Africa never knew the system of prisons. We had forms of sanctions which were different from imprisonment. We learned about imprisonment in the colonial system. The name of prison itself has been Africanised from the French word “cachot” which we called “kaso”.

The African elite intentionally causes hunger among the people to manipulate them during elections by offering handouts & feeding them crumbs. The underdevelopment of Africa is intentional. They don’t want you to be independent because then you shall be rational and thoughtful.

I’ve concluded that human biases run deep, a single event rarely shifts deeply held positions. Those who have always appreciated you will continue to, while those who hold reservations will persist in their doubts, no matter your efforts. Ultimately, prioritize your happiness and self-acceptance.
