There is a joke here that the only thing the Austrian hates more than being called a German, is being told they have absolutely nothing in common with Germans.

I've never been more insulted than when a reviewer turned in a blatantly llm-generated report and the editor acted as if this was completely normal. We used to joke that our readership was at least not smaller than the number of reviewers, now we're no longer sure about even that!
