For history’s sake it’s important to remember this didn’t come out of nowhere. It’s been 13 years since Occupy Wall Street and class disparity and affordable care has gotten much worse, while a president, about to have a 2nd term, is only interested in helping the wealthy. People are in pain.

I’m a smart person. And I am continually humbled by the steps I need to learn/take to get healthcare.
Do I need precertification for this surgery? Was anyone going to tell me I did? The doctor will give me a cost estimate but the anesthesia is SEPARATE so contact the hospital etc etc.

The tech industry is given the benefit of the doubt by both the business and tech media. This kind of thing is disgraceful, anti-consumer, and should have the founder and the company tarred and feathered in the media. Instead it'll be forgotten by Friday
In any other industry this rate of failure and this kind of utter ignorance and incompetence would get you fired, but we're supposed to believe techbros are somehow better than all of us at deciding what society needs
