Thrilled to be selected by President Biden for the PECASE Award!

Thanks to NICHD/NIH for the nomination! I don't really feel as "early career" as I did when nominated 4 years ago, but I am so happy to see recognition of the importance of science (esp in SRH) and our pipeline!

Abortion bans do not decrease abortion, lead to worsening maternal health, lead to clinician moral distress, and lead to obgyns leaving communities.

How is this "pro-life"??

It makes NO sense that my NIH funding is from an institute devoted to child health and human development. We are more than our ability to procreate.

Calling gender-affirming care experimentation is blatant disinformation. There is no slippery slope to deregulation, just evidenced-based care that saves lives.

Citing “abortion on demand by adolescents” gives away that this is just more moral policing

You know what happens when doctors leave a city/county/state because it is unsustainable to continue to practice there?

People suffer.
That’s it.
There is no other outcome.
