I haven't posted in quite awhile. I was busy and then trying to avoid news during the government shutdown. I'm a fed, so it was frustrating. Alex enjoyed having me home all the time, and he is not excited about me being back at work.

Alex actually using a tiny quilt I made for him. He ignored it for a few weeks but found it overnight. He also knocked a bunch of stuff down off the other chair during the night, but you can't win them all.

It's been insane lately, to put it mildly, and all I have the energy for is watching cat videos and crocheting increasingly tiny octopuses. Alex thinks I need to pay more attention to him. He's probably right.

While I wish the United States wasn't essentially a cautionary tale, since I live here and have to deal with it, I'm so glad other countries are repudiating right-wing authoritarianism.
