On train lines that share commuter functions with Amtrak, why does it feel like Amtrak mucks the local schedule up on purpose?

Who says you can’t traffic calm an arterial? We (Toole Design) designed these raised crosswalks as part of the Madison Ave project on Bainbridge Island. Madison Ave is a Minor Arterial, one of the main north-south routes through town.

There is much chatter, a lot of it negative, about e-bikes in CT, specifically youth on e-bikes. We wanted kids outside, independent and off video games, right? Let’s put some harm reduction practices in place (safety education for drivers and riders) and keep going. This is an exciting trend.

I love taking the train. The conductors are all amazing. The Hartford line for the last few months (at least) is a mess. Not being able to rely on arrival/departure times and this morning, even having a train, is brutal. Fare increase? I don’t think so. 🫠
