A delectable triangular piece of home made rhubarb pie. Sits on an elegant gold edged dessert plate, decorated with rhubarb-pink roses. The hand made pastry looks, and is, golden and flaky. The filling of rhubarb is a rosy hue of pink/red that matches the roses on the China dessert plate. Yum!!

Thought it would be fitting to end #ArtAdventCalendar this year with another miniature library. This is a magical little library in a tree case, and I hope to be able to make more like this in the new year! 🧶

Happy holidays all, and thank you for sharing so much amazing art this month!
This miniature library is in a case that features a tree on the front, allowing you to peek in to see its contents. The library is filled with tiny handmade books and scrolls, including a book of magic on the top shelf beside a star. Last week before all hell broke loose, my sister and I did our annual gingerbread decorating extravaganza. It was a little smaller than usual. We only did a half batch because it’s a lot of cookies. Still, lots of fun and many of the usual characters are there.
A table full of decorated gingerbread cookies. There are about three dozen of them. Some are people shaped and include Spock, Santa, a guy with a broken leg, Plumber Butt, John Travolta from Saturday night, fever, and Groot. We have some cookies that have already got bites out of them and are bleeding. Roadkill is there. We also have ninja bread cookies and a couple of robots. There are gingerbread trees, candy, canes, reindeer, snowman, and an owl.

Winter lighting is an art. The historic Selkirk Hotel at Fort Edmonton is lit up with dramatic effect on a snowy night for the YEG Christmas Market! #ArtAdventCalendar

It appeared in a design leaflet published by MEZ with the unoriginal title of "Handarbeitsvorlage 7016" (Handwork pattern 7016) with no date or designer credit.

Looks a bit like a snowflake to me ❄️
