I finished Tokyo Xtreme Racer! I’m proud to say my dear RX-8 put up almost until the end. Only the last two bosses were kinda mathematically impossible for it. But my dear Type-R came to the rescue!
I really enjoyed the unique take on racing with Fighting Game/RPG mechanics. Want to start NG+ now 😄

I finished Tokyo Xtreme Racer! I’m proud to say my dear RX-8 put up almost until the end. Only the last two bosses were kinda mathematically impossible for it. But my dear Type-R came to the rescue!
I really enjoyed the unique take on racing with Fighting Game/RPG mechanics. Want to start NG+ now 😄

I’m close to the endgame, where all rivals have heavily tuned cars and supercars. I spent a big deal in unlocking the remaining upgrades, and now my baby here is back in action!
Beating supercars with my Mazda RX-8 is 😌😌😌
Its top speed now is around 340 km/h 👀

As much as I'm loving Tokyo Xtreme Racer, one of my pet peeves is how some (mini) bosses play like Forza Horizon online rammers. Like they try to slam you against traffic or outright PIT you the moment you are remotely close to them. It does feel wonderful when they get their just desserts though 😌

Something funny is how irl normal driving habits sometimes transfer to videogames. I’ve been playing Tokyo Xtreme Racer a lot recently, and I’ve found myself always signaling my lane changes despite being in races there lol

1. No “right” difficulty, e.g. Normal is too easy and Hard too stressful
2. Turn-based enemies that decide you put down your controller
3. Bosses that get harder with cheesing instead of a genuine challenge
4. Badly programmed physics
5. “Easy” to softlock

I think being a fan of certain cars led me to buy one I wasn’t supposed to get until later in the game. This beautiful Type-R is resting because the game is too easy for it at this
