Australia has already handed over $800 million of the estimated $368 billion cost of AUKUS.

The thing these guys don’t get about net zero is that it’s not just a race against physics, it’s a race against other countries to win the post carbon business opportunities.

Clinging to a dying growth model means missing the emerging one

Net zero by 2050 ‘just ideology’: Scott Morrison
The former prime minister, who signed the Coalition up to net zero by 2050, has now declared the promise bad policy, giving Opposition Leader Sussan Ley internal cover to ditch the pledge.

I think about this in how the guy who ran MySpace sold his company and then traveled the world doing photography, while the guy who runs Facebook never let it go and has gone out of his way to destroy democracy in order to gain more power.
The desperate need to accumulate more and more at the cost of everyone else’s wellbeing should be classified as a mental disorder, and I will absolutely die on this hill.

The electorate voted for a senate that has a majority of ALP and Greens.

Murray Watt and the ALP are choosing instead to write laws that will please the LNP and mining companies.

This is not the outcome a majority of Australians voted for.
I’m getting weary of this. This government is representative of what the people of this place want. The argument is with all of us. Turning it into a constant personalised political snipe belittles the nature of the problem.
Thanks to Murray and his ALP pals, weather reports like this will become increasingly scary and weird

Remember, the New York Times wrote that the AI video of Trump dumping shit on Americans was “apparently” AI generated. As if they had some difficulty confirming President Trump flew a plane to dump shit on people.

The press cannot call a spade a spade because of this phenomenon.

our institutions won't react because they're lost in a digital dreamstate, unable to decide what is true because of social media poisoning

Surprising pretty much no one I'm sure
The Guardian is reporting that since Israel and Hamas signed the ceasefire and full hostage exchange agreement, Israel has violated the ceasefire 47 times, killed 38 Palestinians, and wounded another 143 more.

Meanwhile Hamas has released all remaining hostages.

And Norway collects 56 DOLLARS per $100 of exported oil
