@cityofvancouver.bsky.social as notifications broke on the RecycleBC app, I put Single-Unit Purple North's pickup schedule into Google Calender. Can Recycle BC publish each zone's pickup schedule in csv or txt so they can be converted into iCal?

Bubbling, troubling AI news this Halloween. Study found AI "agents" perform laughably bad at freelancer tasks. The state-of-the-art agents have a 3% success rate and they suck at "tool usage", can't learn, and can't replace us. @edzitron.com @matthewhughes.bsky.social

AI coding "overhyped" according to a Bain& Company report. 2/3 of companies have tried it. Little gain and little adoption. 😿

I use AI for coding but the apps are unstable, unreliable, and not worth publishing. @matthewhughes.bsky.social @edzitron.com

Yale-backed "living" analysis found that AI has had no impact on the labor market. 😭

There is higher occupational turnover, but the most exposed labor groups saw no decrease in employment rates... 33 months later with AGI "around the corner".

AI Agents?. Dev Utkarsh Kanwat said that complex operations cannot be automated because error rates compound exponentially per step involved. Unless AI is 99.9% accurate it cannot work @edzitron.com
