I don’t talk about my work here much, but up until today, I loved what I do.
Then our CFO treated me with utter disdain and was dismissive of my concerns. And that has deeply eroded my love of my work.
It will take time to rebuild that trust.

Reducing the definition of a woman to biological sex just seems to be reductive. It’s a huge step back for feminism and women’s rights.

So, I have an idea for an RPG setting/game. Do I create a bespoke system for it (more work, but will reinforce the themes/tropes of the game)?
Or do I use an existing system and hack it and stretch the setting over the top (less work, but not as good)?

The tariffs introduced by the Trump administration will disproportionately affect the tabletop gaming industry and by extension the gaming community.
The industry needs to change to meet these disruptions, but I’m not sure many of the companies have the business acumen to do so.

As a GM, I don’t like players doing chargen on their own. Too many opportunities for characters that don’t fit the setting/story

I’m a campaign GM. I CAN run one-shots, but what I really love is running long term campaigns.
I’ve run nearly 12 years of L5R (3 campaigns all set in the same story line). I’m currently running a multi-era/multi-generational supers campaign.

I have played every version of DnD since AD&D. I’ve ready 1st Ed. It’s gotten gradually more flavourless each edition. It’s a shame cos it used to have such vibrant settings.
