I talked to a historian because I’m always curious about this stuff, but as a County Plan Commissioner where I serve as a member to both the County Plan Commission and the Board of Zoning Adjustment, I’m proud to be the highest-ranking member of Gen Z in local government in the Kansas City region! 🌈
While ICE targets residents, districts are being gerrymandered, and attacks on LGBTQ+ rights and reproductive freedom escalate, too many of our local officials remain silent. Holding office isn’t enough—this moment requires fighters. ✊🏽

Yesterday, A group of Gen Z activists organized that protest and I’ll be honest because I really don’t care—They aren’t happy because a certain county politician (who didn’t do any work to put on today’s protest after being asked to not show up), showed up and jumped on every camera for himself.
