Note for Democratic politicians: you don't have to start your condemnations of ICE raids with "We all want to catch violent criminals, but..." Just say "These raids have nothing to do with catching criminals and everything to do with terrorizing innocent minority groups."

today i am challenging democratic politicians, for the rest of the week, to pick one (1) horrifying thing republicans are doing and pretend its as bad as jimmy kimmel being indefinitely suspended

id suggest tom homan taking bribes, but theres a few things to pick from if they want

Two things:

1) Black Lives Matter is not *done*. It's never done. Me Too, also not done. Y'all really underestimate our endurance.🤷🏿‍♂️

2) It's not difficult to be an ally. Andrew Garfield and Julia Roberts made space, Ayo Edebiri took her space, and the nonsense question was exposed for what it is.

Every single person who thinks these ICE actions are somehow justified should read this. So many horrifying stories like this.

One weird trick to improve public discourse: nobody is allowed to talk about "AI" in the abstract.

If you want to weigh in on AI, you owe us at LEAST one full sentence worth of context.

What kind of AI? To do what? By who, and where, when, and why?

Give it up or STFU.

I feel the exact same way about a person deriving joy from firing government workers and defunding programs helping the world’s poorest.
Musk: I mean, have you Tim Walz, who is a huge jerk, running on stage with the Tesla stock price.. What an evil thing to do. What a creep, what a jerk. Like who derives joy from that?

I've been thinking a lot about that bumper sticker which says "everything looks like a conspiracy theory when you don't understand how anything works" and folks it's pretty obvious to me that the people in power right now have absolutely no desire to understand how anything works.

The Minnesota Republicans scheduled ANOTHER trans sports bill for our judiciary committee tomorrow, three days after a trans sports bill failed on the floor.

They are committed to moving bills intended to hurt people. Nothing they’re doing helps anyone. That appears to be the GOP mission: Do harm.

I started my career with John Deere and they remain one of the best companies I've worked with. Glad to see they're sticking to their values.
💥 BREAKING: At John Deere's annual shareholders meeting today, shareholders overwhelmingly rejected an anti-DEI proposal brought by the same group that targeted Costco and Apple. An anti-DEI proposal from the NCPPR received less than 1 percent of votes.

My first and definitely last time working with the Los Angeles Times. Editing out the most urgent point of an OpEd in the minutes before sending to press while then also assigning a title and image that suggest an argument entirely opposite to the author’s clear intent is pretty shitty.
