reminds me of a concept i had once where it's 20 years after a group of Magical Girls saved the world and they all moved on with their lives and the main villain from the show is now just a reclusive manganka that lives with one of the MGs because she feels sorry for him
A character from a concept I was chewing on for a few days. A college drop out who used to be a magical girl and saved the world when she was a kid.
Though now she's burned out and without any real goals just crashes in her roommates apartment and bullies them with size magic.

The game briefly tries to show you what it's like in the slums of Columbia but it feels more like a Disneyland ride through Negelct and than any actual visceral disgust at class divide or racism, because if they actually did that the player would be even more on the VP's side than they already are
sometimes i think about how badly bioshock infinite beefed its approach to columbia and how its setting doesn’t go far enough into the weird christofascist shit that was its whole selling point and would give it staying power

i like the ideas of handlers also being genetically engineered freaks, just in a different way.

I really have a thing for is settings where all the preds agree that of *course* humans are people with their personalities, hopes, and dreams

One of the funnier underrated bits of WW2 is how there was a Russian Fascist Party operating in exile out of Manchuria and after the war was over their leader tried to talk his away out of getting shot.
Which he might very well have, if not for the fact that his headquarters looked like this:
