I have decided the best treatment for my current intermittent Sads is to just get out in the woods this weekend. Look at plants. Maybe find good mushrooms. See some squirrels. Be away from all the annoying city sounds.

My period and my depression both hit me like trains when I was 13 and I'm so fucking mad about this
TIL that blood platelets have serotonin receptors, which is why anemia can mimic depression symptoms and that is absolutely fucking fascinating.

poor children literally went without food. people lost jobs and went into debt and got evicted and sold their cars they need to get to work. people who otherwise would have lived longer will die younger because of the stress of this. people did things for money they can't undo
