Uusimmassa kirjoituksessani tarkastelen, mitä haittoja ruokavalion torjunta-ainejäämistä on terveydelle tutkimusnäytön perusteella.

Kerron myös keinoista, joilla torjunta-aineiden saantia voi vähentää. Luomun suosiminen on niistä paras.

Torjunta-aineiden riskit – näin voit vähentää saantia
Torjunta-aineiden runsas saanti ruokavaliosta voi kohottaa terveysriskejä, esimerkiksi kasvattaa syöpään ja Parkinsonin tautiin sairastumisen riskiä.

Preterm Babies’ Placentas Harbor Higher Levels of Microplastics
Scientists have discovered that placentas from premature births contain significantly higher concentrations of micro and nanoplastics than those from full-term births, raising new concerns about environmental impacts on pregnancy. The findings, presented at the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine's annual meeting, suggest these tiny plastic particles may play a role in premature birth. Using advanced mass spectrometry, researchers analyzed 175 placentae - 100 from full-term births and 75 from preterm deliveries.

Dark Chocolate May Lower Diabetes Risk While Milk Chocolate Linked to Weight Gain
A comprehensive 25-year study has found that consuming five or more servings of dark chocolate weekly is associated with a 21% lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The research, involving over 190,000 participants, reveals distinct health impacts between dark and milk chocolate consumption, with milk chocolate showing no protective effect against diabetes. The findings have significant implications for public health as global type 2 diabetes rates are projected to reach 700 million cases by 2045.
